My car and two pounds of trash: Changing the world’s climate bit by bit

Dr. Deb Niemeier will present “My car and two pounds of trash: Changing the world’s climate bit by bit” at 7:00 pm in the Beecher Room of the Placer County Library at 350 Nevada Street, Auburn. The event is free and open to the public, sponsored by the Auburn Area Democratic Club and the Placer Group Sierra Club. Doors will open at 6:45 pm for socializing prior to the presentation. Professor Niemeier has published nearly 130 journal articles and 9 book chapters based on her research, which combines basic and translational research in emissions modeling and travel behavior. Through her research she has produced path-breaking knowledge in the understanding of mobile source emissions.

Selection of Films from the Wild and Scenic Film Festial

Auburn Placer Performing Arts Center, State Theater in Auburn.
The Wild & Scenic Film Festival On Tour is brought to the State Theatre for the first time. Kids Films start Saturday morning at 10AM. The afternoon session will begin at 4PM - 5:45PM with a break for concessions, music and outreach by featured organizations.
