Non-Sierra Club Outings:
A Yahoo group has been
setup to help facilitate photo outings setup by individuals. It is important
to note that these outings are NOT associated with the Sierra Club and are
NOT to be considered Sierra Club Outings. The following paragraphs briefly
outline the procedure for joining the Yahoo group.
First you must have a Yahoo
ID. If you do not, you obtain an ID by going to www.yahoo.com
and signing up. Once you have an ID, go to the following web page: http://groups.yahoo.com/group/mother_lode_photography/
and click the "join this group" button. A form will be displayed
that will allow you to set certain preferences with respect to this group.
These preferences can be changed later. For myself, the easiest way to use
this type of group is in Step 2. Message Delivery, select the Individual
Email option. That way anytime someone makes a new post to the forum, you
will receive an email with a copy of the post. And when you reply to that
email using the forum email address, your reply will be posted to the forum
as well as being sent to everyone who has selected the Individual Email
Please read the Description
before clicking the join button just to make sure you understand the purpose
of the group.
Also, make sure you mention
you are a member of the Mother Lode Photography Club in the "Comment To
Owner" box on the signup page.
